UPVC PORCHES & CONSERVATORIES
A good quality conservatory made to the correct specification can make a huge difference to your home. If designed and specified correctly it will be a comfortable and enjoyable addition to your home.
Design and specification.
There are many things that need to be considered when planning your new conservatory. Size and style are obviously the major considerations. However, think about what you want to use your conservatory for. Will it be an occasional room or maybe you want to use it as a dining room?
These considerations can influence your choice of design and extras. For example, if it is being used as a dining room for example, would you like climate control installed and underfloor heating to keep temperatures constant? How about a glass roof instead of polycarbonate to cut down noise when raining? What about an anti sun glass to keep heat out, or even a self cleaning glass roof?
Don`t worry if this all seems daunting, our job is to run through everything with you, advise you and discuss your options. Most double glazing companys use salespeople who, will all due respect to them, have not got the experience in conservatories that we have. With us, you will talk directly to the company owner rather than a commission only salesperson.
Styles.
As all of our conservatories and porches, like our windows and doors, are made to measure, as long as it can physically be made, we can do most things. However, the vast majority of our work are the traditional Edwardian, Victorian, gable front and sunroom styles (see examples in the album below). If you are on a tight budget, the sunroom style is normally the most cost effective solution.
The sunroom and Edwardian styles give the best internal space, being square or rectangular in shape, whilst the Victorian cuts off corners to achieve the "50p" shape front. You can maximise internal space by glazing or fitting panels to the floor instead of having a cavity dwarf wall.
